Memory 17 / Significant Positive
You're the bravest warriors of this millennium. FIGHT! (LO ch. 10)
Firebird, Day 219. Fiery butterflies in a glass box. One use.
The entire city of New York is sleeping. No one is happy about it. Annabeth uses a really sweet video shield (one of Daedalus's plans) to look over the city and plan an attack with the cabin leaders. She doesn't know what's going on with the magic time-slowing and people not coming into Manhattan business, but it's frustrating her to think that enemies are approaching and there's nothing she can do about it but wait. Percy takes charge and starts assigning people to places to hold, in order to keep the city from being completely surrounded. The Hunters of Artemis show up! Thalia is with them! They hug and have a nice reunion before they part ways.
They head down towards the harbor, but Annabeth stops them to look at a statue of Seward really quickly. She explains that he's actually...
And then they defend Manhattan, of course. Percy and Annabeth end up at the Harbor, and while she's waiting for Percy to do his big fish superhero thing she gets an alarming phone call from their friends.
The Minotaur is back, leading an army across the Williamsburg Bridge. And their friends are in trouble.
Effects:
+ 100 MY TINY TEAM CAN TAKE ON ANY LARGE THREAT -- basically, she will have a lot of faith in Citrine to be able to effectively handle their shit! And won't doubt that they can take down something a lot larger than them
+ 50 Percy dere
+ 50 I care for my friends
+ 20 I AM SO SMART
+ 100 Curiosity about Daedalus.

Zoe's Death. (TC ch. 18 beginning)
Three of Three, Day 221. Brass Feathers, spin to use. Three uses.
Thalia calls Annabeth and Percy over to her and Artemis; there is nothing they can do to stop Zoe from dying. They share a really heartbreaking moment. Artemis cries, as does Thalia -- Annabeth breaks down, and her father puts his hands on her shoulders to comfort her.
Effects:
+ 100 Father figure love.
+ 20 Embarrassment about constantly running away from her family problems.
+ 50 understanding for heroes who die in battle!

Memory 19 / Trivial Negative
Tantalus has to give us a quest. We have to get the fleece. (SM ch. 7)
Eliza's Brother, Day 226. Citrine Feather, stick behind ear. Three uses.
The result of the awful chariot race memory: Percy calls Tantalus some choice words and they get sentenced to heavy-duty plate washing. While talking during kitchen duty, Annabeth murmurs to Percy about getting the Golden Fleece.
And then they ask Tantalus for a quest and he gives it to Clarisse instead and totally makes fun of them. Bummer. He tells them if they try to leave camp grounds they'll get expelled and then fed to the curfew harpies. Double bummer.
Effects:
+ 50 Tantalus has a stick up his ass
+ 20 Percy you are so clueless
• Unlocked: Story of Jason and the Argonauts
• Unlocked: More general knowledge of how Camp Half-Blood operates.

Memory 20 / Significant Negative
The Vice Principal gets a Missile Launcher (TC ch. 2)
Maleficent, Day 227. Six team-colored fruit candies.
An evil principal/monster is trying to kidnap Bianca and Nico, and also hurt Percy, or maybe just kidnap him too? Who knows! Probably kill because Percy doesn't take directions well. This is totally not according to plan. And while Dr. Thorn is trying to shoot them to death Annabeth, Thalia and Grover sneak up and launch a counter attack; Annabeth slams into the two kids + Percy, knocking them to the ground, while the other two attack from behind.
Large battle scenes ensue! Close calls happen! Thalia is a complete badass, Grover proves he's not very good at fighting but does try a whole lot, Annabeth saves the Di Angelos a few more times. Just when it looks hopeless, out of the woods comes flying silver arrows and a pack of immortal teenage girls -- the Hunters of Artemis!
Annabeth literally vanishes, captured by Luke's army.
Effects:
+ 50 Percy is dumb.
+ 30 Thalia is so cool.
- 50 Personal safety.
• Unlocked: Desire to help people in dangerous situations, even if she doesn't know them.
• Unlocked: Ability to throw herself into deadly situations if she's helping her friends out.

"Thank the gods," Annabeth said. "But if we don't blockade the rivers from those boats, guarding the bridges and tunnels will be pointless."
"You're right," I said.
I looked at the campers, all of them grim and determined. I tried not to feel like this was the last time I'd ever see them all together.
"You're the greatest heroes of this millennium," I told them. "It doesn't matter how many monsters come at you. Fight bravely, and we will win." I raised Riptide and shouted, "FOR OLYMPUS!"
They shouted in response, and our forty voices echoed off the buildings of Midtown. For a moment it sounded brave, but it died quickly in the silence of ten million sleeping New Yorkers.
They head down towards the harbor, but Annabeth stops them to look at a statue of Seward really quickly. She explains that he's actually...
"Don't tell me he's an automaton," I said.
Annabeth smiled. "Turns out most of the statues in the city are automatons. Daedalus planted them here just in case he needed an army."
"To attack Olympus or defend it?"
Annabeth shrugged."Either one. That was plan twenty-three. He could activate one statue and it would start activating its brethren all over the city, until there was an army. It's dangerous, though. You know how unpredictable automatons are."
"Uh-huh," I said. We'd had our share of bad experiences with them. "You're seriously thinking about activating it?"
"I have Daedalus's notes," she said. "I think I can . . . Ah, here we go."
And then they defend Manhattan, of course. Percy and Annabeth end up at the Harbor, and while she's waiting for Percy to do his big fish superhero thing she gets an alarming phone call from their friends.

Zoe's Death. (TC ch. 18 beginning)
Three of Three, Day 221. Brass Feathers, spin to use. Three uses.
As soon as Dr. Chase stepped out of his Sopwith Camel, Annabeth ran to him and gave him a huge hug. "Dad! You flew… you shot… oh my gods! That was the most amazing thing I've ever seen!"
Her father blushed. "Well, not bad for a middle-aged mortal, I suppose."
"But the celestial bronze bullets! How did you get those?"
"Ah, well. You did leave quite a few half-blood weapons in your room in Virginia, the last time you… left."
Annabeth looked down, embarrassed. I noticed Dr. Chase was very careful not to say ran away.
"I decided to try melting some down to make bullet casings," he continued. "Just a little experiment." He said it like it was no big deal, but he had a gleam in his eye. I could understand all of a sudden why Athena, Goddess of Crafts and Wisdom, had taken a liking to him. He was an excellent mad scientist at heart.
"Dad…" Annabeth faltered.
Artemis stood, said a kind of blessing, breathed into her cupped hand and released the silver dust to the sky. It flew up, sparkling, and vanished.
For a moment I didn't see anything different. Then Annabeth gasped. Looking up in the sky, I saw that the stars were brighter now. They made a pattern I had never noticed before—a gleaming constellation that looked a lot like a girl's figure—a girl with a bow, running across the sky.
"Let the world honor you, my Huntress," Artemis said. "Live forever in the stars."

The result of the awful chariot race memory: Percy calls Tantalus some choice words and they get sentenced to heavy-duty plate washing. While talking during kitchen duty, Annabeth murmurs to Percy about getting the Golden Fleece.
"The point is, when Cadmus got to Colchis, he sacrificed the golden ram to the gods and hung the Fleece in a tree in the middle of the kingdom. The Fleece brought prosperity to the land. Animals stopped getting sick. Plants grew bet-ter. Farmers had bumper crops. Plagues never visited. That's why Jason wanted the Fleece. It can revitalize any land where it's placed. It cures sickness, strengthens nature, cleans up pollution—"
"It could cure Thalia's tree."
Annabeth nodded. "And it would totally strengthen the borders of Camp Half-Blood. But Percy, the Fleece has been missing for centuries. Tons of heroes have searched for it with no luck."
"But Grover found it," I said. "He went looking for Pan and he found the Fleece instead because they both radiate nature magic. It makes sense, Annabeth. We can rescue him and save the camp at the same time. It's perfect!"
Annabeth hesitated. "A little too perfect, don't you think? What if it's a trap?"
I remembered last summer, how Kronos had manipulated our quest. He'd almost fooled us into helping him start a war that would've destroyed Western Civilization.
"What choice do we have?" I asked. "Are you going to help me rescue Grover or not?" She glanced at Tyson, who'd lost interest in our conversation and was happily making toy boats out of cups and spoons in the lava.
"Percy," she said under her breath, "we'll have to fight a Cyclops. Polyphemus, the worst of the Cyclopes. And there's only one place his island could be. The Sea of Monsters."
And then they ask Tantalus for a quest and he gives it to Clarisse instead and totally makes fun of them. Bummer. He tells them if they try to leave camp grounds they'll get expelled and then fed to the curfew harpies. Double bummer.

The monster wailed. "This is not fair! Direct interference! It is against the Ancient Laws."
"Not so," another girl said. This one was a little younger than me, maybe twelve or thirteen. She had auburn hair gathered back in a ponytail and strange eyes, silvery yellow like the moon. Her face was so beautiful it made me catch my breath, but her expression was stern and dangerous. "The hunting of all wild beasts is within my sphere. And you, foul creature, are a wild beast." She looked at the older girl with the circlet. "Zoe, permission granted."
The manticore growled. "If I cannot have these alive, I shall have them dead!" He lunged at Thalia and me, knowing we were weak and dazed.
"No!'" Annabeth yelled, and she charged at the monster.
"Get back, half-blood!" the girl with the circlet said. "Get out of the line of fire!" But Annabeth leaped onto the monster's back and drove her knife into his mane. The manticore howled, turning in circles with his tail flailing as Annabeth hung on for dear life.
"Fire!" Zoe ordered.
"No!" I screamed. But the Hunters let their arrows fly. The first caught the manticore in the neck. Another hit his chest. The manticore staggered backward, wailing, "This is not the end, Huntress! You shall pay!"
And before anyone could react, the monster, with Annabeth still on his back, leaped over the cliff and tumbled into the darkness.
Annabeth literally vanishes, captured by Luke's army.
